Entry: Each year, local high school teachers are encouraged to submit student artwork. The art does not have to be created in a school art class, but is encouraged to have follow the theme, Life in the Middle.

Art Madness Bracket: We create a single elimination numbered bracket with the “seeds” equaling the amount of artwork submitted. Depending on the number of participants, the bracket may include “bye weeks”. Each line, including the byes, will be numbered. The names of students will be cut out and placed in a bucket. Each name will be numbered as we draw it out of the bucket, ensuring random pairings on the bracket. For 2025, we have a nice even number with no bye weeks!

Timeline: All artwork must be submitted by Friday,  February 28th, 2025. Voting begins on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025 at 12:00 PM. Please note, voting times have changed this year! Voting will be 28 hours with the final result of the round being announced an hour after the end of the round. Review the schedule below.

Voting: You may vote using the poll on our website (below) or by “liking” the photos on social media. Each “like” on Facebook and Instagram will count as one vote. Facebook “likes” + Instagram “likes'“ + Website poll results = ROUND WINNER!

Winner: Round winners will continue to move throughout the bracket. The final two artworks will have a longer voting period for the last round. The winner of that round will be the winner of the competition!
