Regional Juried Exhibition
The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri’s Regional Juried Exhibition provides a forum to demonstrate the diversity of the five-state region, and the artists who live here. Artists were encouraged to submit works that interpret any aspect of the Southeast Missouri region as well as its bordering localities. We are excited that so many works in this year’s exhibition interpret the people, places, things, and ideas that are representational of the region.
This year’s juror is Bri DeWitt. Bri is an Arts Council Patron, local educator, roller derby extraordinaire, and artist. She has served on our board in the past so we are excited to work alongside her once again.

Towner Vision
A Collective of Works by Helen & Bob Towner
The Arts Council was honored to exhibit the intermingled works of Helen and Bob Towner last month. While each artist has their distinctive practice and style, bringing their works together created a beautiful narrative of a couple dedicated to both the arts and community.
Helen is a beloved Arts Council Member, Visual Arts Cooperative Artist, Board Member, and 2022 Dingeldein Recipient. She works with colored pencil and watercolor to bring architecture, nature, and models from the weekly Drawing Group to life.
Bob is an Arts Council Member, Visual Arts Cooperative Artist, and semi-retired Episcopal Priest. He fell in love with calligraphy in 2011 and has since used it as a way to exercise his calling through art. He mixes Holy Scriptures, poetry, and graphic design to connect with his viewers.
Micro Galleries
Both Micro Galleries featured oil paintings created by veterans in the Creative Forces program. This program partners with the Cape Girardeau VA to provide multidisciplinary art classes to local veterans.
